For the Colorize It assignment, I had to adjust multiple colors in an image. I edited the photo using Adobe Lightroom. The settings I changed the colors to are in the photos above. Bob Ross says, “Isn’t it fantastic that you can change your mind and create all these happy things?” I originally was planning on doing muted colors, but I decided to go for warmer bright tones. It isn’t how I normally edit my photos but I like the coloring on it!
For this visual assignment, I had to photoshop her eyes to make them bigger. This was the first time I have done this. I imported the picture to photoshop. I then duplicated the layer so I wasn’t working on the original. I then clicked opened up liquify. From here, I used the bloat tool to make her eyes bigger. I didn’t want to make them too big because I wanted to show how easy it is to manipulate photos in a way that look natural.
Splash The Color
For Splash the Color, I had to removed the color from the photo and restore the color on part of the image. In Adobe Photoshop, I created two layers of the same image. I then removed the color on the top layer and added a clipping mask. From there, I painted over the cat’s eyes and the bush. I contemplated color the bush or not, but in the end I decided it tied in well with his eyes.
